What a wonderful open house and birthday anniversary
we had! Thank you so much to everyone that came from
as far away as Canada to share the weekend with us!

Meet Desiree
Desiree is married with 3 sons. Her husband
just medically retired after 18 years with the Army.
She is a more of the behind the scene person. She
helps in the office part of the day and responds on
Facebook and helps in the buildings the rest of the
day. She is our backup person and wears many hats.

Brandy
Sadly our fears were correct with Brandy. She puffed up
with full blown FIP. We took her back to the vet and got
new blood work and had the fluid tapped in her belly. All of her
clinical symptoms, blood work, and abdominal fluid point towards
FIP. Yesterday, to our complete heartbreak, her condition began
to deteriorate and the time had come to make a decision. I held her
as she returned to her make her. She purred to the end.

A cute video of Brandy taken a few months ago when she
was healthy.
Snicker lucked out and did not have to have surgery, YEAH!
After the vets did a CT scan they felt the object/spot was so
small that they want to wait to do surgery. They felt that
antibiotics appeared to be resolving what ever it is. They
want us to continue antibiotics and we will do another CT in
a few months.
Major is doing well. He has had 3 chemo treatments so far.
His weight loss has stopped. He has not regained weight
but has stabilized. He is eating and appears to be doing well.
FIP is a horrible disease that has no test that is 100% positive.
There is no cure. It is diagnosed based upon symptoms. Putting
it in simple terms, if your cat has a fever that does not go away
with antibiotics, blood work that has high protein, high globulin
and low albumin, and your cat has fluid in their abdomen your odds
are high that you are dealing with FIP or something else really bad.
